The design of the mdpm system aims to provide model-based diff, patch, and merge algorithms for arbitrary semi-structured documents.

The implementation of mdpm is currently in a prototype stage.
Note: The mdiff component currently is a re-implementation of xmldiff originally developed by the OMEGA group at the Saarland University, Saarbrücken.
